For Nitrogen Vendors

For Nitrogen / Inerting Vendors and OEM Partners (WPNI for wet systems; nitrogen inerting for dry systems)

Our Corrosion (MIC) Prevention Solution is not only designed for fire protection contractors and building owners – it also creates a cleaner, lower-risk platform for nitrogen / WPNI vendors and OEM partners.

When a nitrogen provider (ECS, Tyco, Potter, or equivalent) pairs its WPNI solution with our clean-interior UL & cUL listed pipe and 15-Year Leak Warranty, three things happen:

  • You reduce pipe-side risk you don’t control.
Nitrogen / WPNI vendors can control oxygen and commissioning, but not how the pipe was manufactured.
Our clean-interior steel fire sprinkler pipe is manufactured to minimize interior residues and starting points for MIC, so the nitrogen system is not being asked to “fix” a dirty pipe interior. This helps reduce the pipe-side uncertainty that is outside a nitrogen vendor’s direct control.
  • You gain a third-party manufacturer that is willing to stand behind the wet and dry system zones.
For Warranty-Qualified Projects (WQPs), we issue a project-specific 15-Year Limited Internal Leak Warranty directly to the building owner on the covered wet/dry-system piping scope built with our pipe (pipe only).
That means the nitrogen vendor can tell owners:
“We control the oxygen; the pipe manufacturer controls the interior surface and is willing to stand behind leak risk for 15 years.”
The result is a stronger, easier-to-defend corrosion story than nitrogen alone.
  • You differentiate your WPNI (for wet systems)/nitrogen inerting (for dry systems) offering from other nitrogen competitors.
Several vendors can sell nitrogen and talk about lower oxygen.
Far fewer can offer a documented, corrosion-managed wet/dry system that combines:
    - clean-interior UL & cUL listed pipe,
    - O₂ ≤ 2% WPNI  (for wet systems)/nitrogen inerting (for dry systems) at handover, and
    - an owner-facing 15-Year Leak Warranty on the pipe zones.
Nitrogen / WPNI vendors who choose to work with this program can position their solution as more than just a “nitrogen add-on” – it becomes a complete, outcome-driven corrosion package for wet/dy sprinkler systems

How we work with WPNI / OEM partners: Clear roles, shared success

We keep roles and responsibilities simple:

  • You own nitrogen / WPNI
    - Design, specification, and sizing of the nitrogen system
    - Supply, commissioning, and ongoing support of your equipment
    - Your own commercial relationship for nitrogen equipment and services
  • We own the pipe and leak warranty
    - Supply of clean-interior UL & cUL listed steel pipe for wet/dry systems
    - Documentation and support related to internal cleanliness and corrosion risk
    - Owner-facing 15-Year Limited Internal Leak Warranty on defined zones built with our pipe
    - Warranty registration, administration, and any related pipe-side claims

We do not ask nitrogen vendors to take on additional pipe warranty risk. Our goal is to strengthen your corrosion story, not to shift your risk onto another part of the system.

What we ask from WPNI / OEM partners

To make the combined solution work smoothly, we look for WPNI partners who are willing to:
- Align on O₂ ≤ 2% commissioning targets and measurement practices
- Help contractors document WPNI and NFPA 13 venting in the turnover package
- Share field performance feedback so we can continuously refine the program

In return, we offer:
- A cleaner, better-documented pipe platform for your nitrogen solution
- A warranty that supports your corrosion claims
- A distinctive story that can help you win and retain more wet/dry system projects
